*Business Systems Analyst III
Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Business Systems Analyst III to be a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, providing solutions for the Morpheus and ZLAPS applications to address critical business system needs. Specific responsibilities include: focus on property and casualty pricing applications, requiring deep expertise in large casualty and property business processes, products, and proprietary pricing models; coordinate and lead requirement gathering activities with business owners through interviews, documentation, and facilitated sessions for projects and system enhancements; monitor business decisions and manage requirements, documentation, and communication throughout the project lifecycle; analyze business requirements to determine system potential and assess impact on other business units and systems; provide input to the development team to ensure alignment with business requirements; create process models, Use Cases, Class, and Sequence Diagrams based on business and product design documentation to validate information completeness; deliver cost/benefit analyses, risk assessments, and scope definitions for proposed requirements; guide users in building strong business cases; perform impact analysis on proposed changes and support testing, implementation, and user training activities; collaborate with Actuaries to configure Zurich’s proprietary pricing models for property and casualty products; support production by analyzing application logs, working with users to identify issues, conducting root cause analysis, and delivering both temporary and permanent solutions to ensure the pricing application meets underwriter needs; analyze and provide technology recommendations for pricing tools developed using Microsoft and Azure technologies, ensuring the tools meet evolving business and technical requirements; and maintain a strong understanding of Zurich’s property and casualty business processes, products, and pricing methodologies to drive effective and innovative application solutions. Position requires occasional (5%) travel within the U.S. for technology/insure tech conferences or client sites. Option to work remotely 40% of the time.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field of study, plus 8 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Professional Programmer Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Software Developer, Application Analyst, or related IT/business analysis positions. Must have 8 years of experience with each of the following: working with commercial large property and large casualty insurance products and pricing models; working with commercial insurance business processes; and working with Microsoft and Azure technologies, including evaluation and recommendation of technology solutions. Must also have 2 years of experience with each of the following: working with Raven DB or other No-SQL DB; facilitating requirement gathering, process modeling, and impact analysis; working with business owners, IT development teams, and actuaries; and performing production support, root cause analysis, and deliver timely fixes. Must be willing to occasionally (5%) travel within the U.S. for technology/insure tech conferences or client sites. Option to work remotely 40% of the time.
